German manufactory Wendt & Kühn supports World Childhood Foundation

16.09.2024

Wendt & Kühn, a long-term partner of GACC, is supporting the World Childhood Foundation for the first time this year. The manufactory was founded in 1915 and is still family owned. The Christmas range, collector's items and angel musicians with eleven white dots on green wings are famous all over the world. All figurines are handcrafted and manufactured in Germany.

Last year Wendt & Kühn celebrated the 100th anniversary of the world famous angels, the first of which Grete Wendt created in 1923. Now, for the first time in its history, one angel has eleven different colored dots on its green wings instead of the traditional eleven white dots. The reason for this is the partnership with the World Childhood Foundation. The charity was founded in 1999 by Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden and is widely supported in Sweden, Germany, Brazil, the USA and around the world. It is committed to ensuring that all children can grow up carefree and protected, free from violence.

With the color variation Wendt & Kühn is incorporating one of the Foundation’s central design elements as a visible sign of our shared values that connect the foundation and Wendt & Kühn.

For every sold “Angel with Colored Dots on its Wings”, four euros are donated to the World Childhood Foundation to support their projects. This special edition is limited to 25.000 individually numbered pieces. The angel is available with either blond or brown hair and holding a candle in either the right or left hand. Its light is a sign of hope and warmth. Worldwide ideational and material support, a partnership of shared goals and values.

Let`s do good together! Find detailed information about the project on our website
