Over the course of the past several decades, The Carolinas have been a Gateway for the transatlantic business with Germany.
First given in 2004 by former North Carolina honorary consul, Klaus Becker, the Gateway Award honors outstanding accomplishments of businesses or organizations in the German-American community by recognizing one company for its community involvement and or state investment.
